Ignatius believed that prayer works – really works. To begin at the beginning, Ignatius’ spirituality focuses on our Origin in God and our orientation to be God’s people in the World. We come to know more about the God who created us, we discover who we are and who we were made to be. We find our place in God’s world and our mission in service of God’s people. But none of that is easy or superficial. Coming to know oneself as one is can be one of the most painful experiences in life. Coming to love oneself as one is can be life-saving.

To begin in a small way, we offer something simple – brief experiences of what Ignatian prayer feels like. So, every Monday and Wednesday at 6.30pm we have Prayer in the City a 30 minute guided prayer session, to which all are welcome any time.

Now beginning on 13th September 2012, then every Thursday at 7pm, we will have a 75 minute session devoted to a deeper experience of prayer with stillness, awareness, reflection, silence and sharing. Again all are welcome to come whenever you can.

Don’t feel excluded either, if you have done some Ignatian Spirituality courses before; many people who have attended Prayer in the City, Ignatian Prayer Days, or the nine month course will find that these sessions will help them continue their journey.
