Thursday 26th April 11am-4pm
Beyond Belief
Margaret Silf
This workshop is based on the book ‘Faith’ (in the series ‘Simple Faith’) published by DLT, London, April 2011.
What does it mean to be a person of faith today, in a world of apparent indifference to organised religion, where militant atheism is gaining ground?
Can ‘faith’ take us beyond traditional religion, to a radical following of one who shows us what it means to be ‘a human being fully alive’? And what does that following mean for us in our world today, both personally and globally? What questions does the challenge of faith bring up for us, and should we really be looking for answers?
Aim: To raise awareness and stimulate discussion on what it really means to be a person of faith
This workshop is open to everyone interested in spirituality but maybe of particular value to those people who may see themselves as 'post-church', or those disillusioned with organised religion.
