Immaculate Conception: Preparing to Celebrate the Feast

William Pearsall SJ and Lynne Galloway

3rd December 2011

This workshop on the Immaculate Conception is open to anyone who is interested in the meaning behind this event at the very start of Mary's life and what is says about us and the church.

In the morning there will be two talks from Fr. William looking at Mary as the perfect example of a fully redeemed person, from the moment of her conception to her final entry into the glory of heaven and how the church's teachings about her are always relevant to our own lives as Christians and ultimately her life as a model for the whole church.

There will also be buzz times and the opportunity to ask questions.

In the afternoon Lynne Galloway will explore practical, prayerful ways in which we can each learn from Mary how to recognise more fully God's presence in our own unique lives.
