Living in a Violent World in a Non-Violent Way

A practical sequence of Ignatian Spiritual Exercises

This day will explore practical strategies for a peaceful encounter with all forms of violence, physical, mental, past residues and present pressures, re-membering and re-forming our lives in the living power of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Absolute beginners are welcome no previous experience of any Ignatian spirituality is presumed or required, but those experienced in Ignatian spirituality will also find the day helpful and renewing. The only condition is to arrive in good time, the day is a sequence which will only make sense if the whole four hours are attended. You are invited to participate at whatever depth you choose, your freedom is respected at every level, your response within the group at every stage is your own liberating responsibility.

About the Facilitator

Billy Hewett SJ has adapted the Ignatian Exercises to many forms of communication. He has worked with the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises text and particularly the Testament/Autobiography.
