An overview of Mark’s Gospel – the Gospel for the Sunday Cycle of Lectionary Readings this year – pointing out the meaning of the Gospel in its original context & offering brief & thoughtful leads to how this Gospel can connect with Christian life today.

 

About the Facilitator

BRIAN PURFIELD has been a member of the Mount Street Jesuit Team since its beginning in 2004. In addition to his work in adult faith formation at the Centre, Brian helps with the development of faith formation programmes in the Dioceses of Westminster and Northampton and is a visiting lecturer at Heythrop College, University of London, on the Foundation Degree for Pastoral Mission Programme.

He taught previously at Campion House, Osterley, and at the International Franciscan Study Centre, Canterbury. He studied theology at the Gregorian University, Rome and at St. Bonaventure’s University, New York.
