Images of Hope in the New Testament

Brian Purfield

The bible is a book of hope, & it communicates its hopes largely through images or figurative language. This short course explores images of hope in three NT books: Matthew’s Gospel, Paul’s Letter to the Romans and the book of Revelation. We will look at a number of images of hope in each book and see what they can offer in a world where hope often seems in short supply
