Theology of Prayer

This series of talks will address what the Church teaches on prayer and how this informs a distinctively Catholic spirituality. The first talk outlines the teaching on prayer in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We then focus on some key dimensions of the Church’s prayer life which are distinctively Catholic: devotion to Our Lady and the saints; praying for the dead; and the devotion to the Sacred Heart in its Ignatian context.
About the Facilitator
Dominic Robinson SJ is a member of the Mount Street Jesuit Centre team devising and developing faith formation programmes in the Diocese of Westminster. He also teaches Theology at Heythrop College, University of London, and is director of Living Theology Summer School.
