MSJC Young Adult Ministries purpose is to offer an experience of a non-residential Catholic Young Adult community within the London area. We aim to serve young women and men in their twenties and thirties by providing opportunities for them to meet each other, whilst also helping them deepen their relationship with God, grow in prayer, and develop their faith life using the tools of Ignatian spirituality.

Programme

Quiet Prayer 7.15pm
Mass begins 7.30pm

First Sunday Mass is held as its name suggests on the first Sunday of every month, in the main Church. Each month a different celebrant presides for us, though usually a Jesuit. This Mass is served by members of our Music Ministry who provide live music throughout, and our Ministry of the Word and Welcome Ministers take an active role in this community celebration.

Our Third Sunday Mass is our more contemplative liturgy, which takes place from September through to July on the Third Sunday of the Month. We gather in the Chapel of St. Ignatius within the Church and as part of the Mass we take time to listen and pray more contemplatively (in the Ignatian tradition) the Liturgy of the Word. We hear the Gospel read twice and spend twenty minutes reflecting on prayer points provided by the presider for that evening. After the Mass we gather as a community to socialise in the Meeting Room of the Mount Street Jesuit Centre.

Young Adult CLC – Christian Life Community

MSJC Young Adult Ministries supports and promotes CLC - the Lay Apostolic Ignatian Way whose three hallmarks are Community, Spirituality and Mission. CLC is for people who want to follow Jesus Christ more closely by living Ignatian Spirituality in their daily lives. Members make up small groups, typically 4-8 people, who meet regularly to share their life and their prayer. Together they are part of one single world community.
